The Hare and the Hyena's Singing Contest
Bouki the Hyena boasted that he had the most powerful voice in the savanna. He challenged Leuk the Hare to a singing contest, with the prize being a large pot of honey. On the day of the contest, Bouki let out a series of horrible, loud howls and laughs, which frightened all the smaller animals. Then it was Leuk's turn. Leuk said, "My song is too subtle for this open space. We must go to a place that respects music." He led Bouki to a deep, narrow cave. "Sing from in there," Leuk said, "and the acoustics will make your voice divine." The foolish Hyena went deep inside the cave and began to howl. While he was singing, Leuk quickly and quietly rolled a massive boulder over the cave entrance, trapping Bouki inside. "Your voice is so powerful, Bouki," Leuk called out from outside, "that it has sealed the very earth!" Leuk then went and collected the pot of honey for himself. The story teaches that a loud mouth can often get you trapped in a tight spot.
