The Hare's Deception of the Leopard

A Leopard was hunting the Hare relentlessly. To save himself, the Hare devised a plan. He found a large, flat stone near a cliff and covered it with delicious-smelling fat. He then went to the Leopard and said, "Grandfather Leopard, why do you trouble yourself hunting me? I can show you a much better way to hunt. Come with me." He led the Leopard to the top of the cliff. "Down there," said the Hare, pointing below, "is where the fat, slow animals live. To catch them, you simply need to anoint yourself with this magic fat," he said, pointing to the stone, "and slide down the rock. You will land among them silently." The foolish Leopard was intrigued. He lay on the fatty stone and prepared to slide down. The Hare gave him a mighty push. The Leopard slid down the cliff face at a terrifying speed, hit the bottom with a great crash, and was killed. The Hare had defeated his powerful enemy not with strength, but with a well-planned lie.
