The Hare and the Tuber Field

During a famine, the Hare discovered a hidden field of sweet tubers that belonged to the Elephant. He knew he couldn't take them by force. He went to the Warthog and said, "The Elephant is looking for someone with a strong back to help him harvest his tubers. He has promised a large share." The greedy Warthog agreed. The Hare led the Warthog to the field and told him to start digging. While the Warthog was busy digging with his powerful snout, the Hare was secretly carrying the unearthed tubers away to his own burrow. When the Elephant arrived and saw the Warthog digging in his field, he flew into a rage and chased the Warthog away. The Hare, who had started the whole affair, was never suspected. He had used the Warthog's greed and the Elephant's anger to his own advantage, securing food for his family while his two powerful neighbours fought each other.
